Earl Taylor started farming the rich soils of Sutter County in 1916, 30 miles north of Sacramento, California. His son, George, began by working 90 acres of land and carried on the family tradition until 1980. After studying Farm Management at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, Richard started farming dried plums in 1974. John studied agricultural business at California State University, Fresno, before joining Richard in the family business. George was a proud father and mentor to his sons.
